The Nursery Turned into Valuable Real Estate

The Flex Room.

When living in a condo, all square feet matter. The flex room in this condo in the South West of Calgary, was used as a nursery and was painted in a true pink color. The paint color was the reason buyers could not see any other use for this room, than a nursery.

By changing the interior paint color on the wall, this additional room in a 1-bedroom condo, now became precious real estate with endless possibilities. This opened up the market for many more interested buyers.

The advice offered during my home staging consultation was to paint the walls, reduce the number of furniture pieces and home décor. Changing the artwork to a more neutral canvas was key as well as keeping precious baby items out of sight. The new set up changed people’s perspectives which resulted in a sale within a month after listing.
